Very good. Catchy song.

It’s crappy they give all the credit to Miyamoto, all he did was program and design sprites. Mario was created by him as Jumpman in Donkey Kong.
But Gunpei Yokoi developed the powers Mario had from 1985 -1995, all of Marios coolness was of Yokoi’s imaginative brain.
Miyamoto was only Yokoi apprentice up until 93′.
So yea, I hate Miyamoto fanboy love.

I think the video is very well made. Very catchy song, good singing skills, and a nice highlight real of Nintendo’s history.

They actually don’t mention Miyamoto very often. Just one time in the beginning and it’s not like they say he did all of the work. And in the overview at 2:42 they name Yokoi as well as all of the other famous Nintendo employees.

That said, you are right when you say that Miyamoto gains allot of attention for the work of bigger development groups. However, that’s how it goes in the game development business. I don’t like it either but it’s also not necessarily a bad thing.

I think one could argue that this was more a case of rhyming something with “Nintendo” than giving extra credit. These guys are both gaming pioneers who worked together to produce some of the most memorable concepts, characters, and designs of our childhood. Yokoi invented the “d-pad” crazy right?
