Original Post

These are some recent pickups for my general gaming collection. There is a crap ton still waiting to be dug out of storage or pried from my younger sister’s fingers.

I also started my second Youtube channel Candi’s Classic Game Shrine if any of you are interested. I have DIY and repair videos up at the moment but have reviews and more planned for the channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC292bS8LQT2iBC-ZvojCaAw

Cool. I had enough trouble finding a regular DC and here you have all these shiny interesting ones. 🙂

and here are some new pick ups from me for my neo geo aes collectio

3 Sega Saturn games (disc only) Daytona USA, Virtual Cop, and Virtual Fighter 2. They were all the “Not For Resale” versions.

I purchased Gumshoe and Gologo II: The Mafat Conspiracy on the NES and Final Fantasy IX and The Legend of the Dragoon on the PS1. Dragoon is missing disc 4 though. I was able to get a great deal on the PS1 games and got Mafat for free thanks to a coupon.

Ahh yes, the good ol’ 3 pack set ($189 value for free!!!). I just bought the package since I needed two of the games. No idea how people are selling these new in the plastic wrap still, I thought they just came with the Sega Saturns.
Unfortunately my Sega Saturn power supply decided to bite the dust before I even got to play them. I’m putting in a pico psu to replace it, way easier than trying to find a Saturn PSU. Just waiting for my 9V voltage regulator to tone down the 12V rail to the Saturn’s 9V, once that arrives I can finally play these games =D
Stoked to play Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter 2, haven’t played them since I was a kid.

I have a modchipped Saturn, bwahahaha. The only limitation is my internet connection.

I’m not gonna lie, I have burned NeoGeo CD games and I plan to burn some Saturn ones when it’s up and running again. That said, it’s nice to own the originals of the games that aren’t tons of money.

As for recent pickups, I just ordered a NES Everdrive yesterday. Been wanting one for a while, pretty stoked to get it.

I’m a console collector so majority of my older systems are modded or I have the flash carts for them. The Dreamcast has a whole folder of burned games. I do pick up some real games now and then. For instance, I’m a big Pokémon game collector and have all of them as well as roms.

I brought home the original XBOX & controller (shitty original one), PS1, SNES & controllers, NES (toaster model), PS2 Eye Toy, NES controller, NES clone machine, The Godfather for the PSP, and The Con for the PSP.

I always loved the design of the orginal Playstation. I still have mine. It’s a SCPH-100x so it has the Parallel I/O port and the RCA jacks. I also still have a GameShark module for the Parallel port. Sadly, most of the PSX games didn’t age too well.

Agreed. I loved the console and its games a lot too. Mine is w/e the one was on launch day lol. You’re right, the graphics are definitely not very good years later but I still try to enjoy them despite the eye killing graphics.

I still have at least another 2 storage bins full of games and an N64 to bring home too. My sister bought me shelves for my consoles and I will be putting pics up of it once I build it.

Here’s my new console shelf my sister got my for my birthday

I wanted to mod my Saturn too, but I like keeping my systems pure and original. Sigh…but, its either mod it or buy 2 different region systems and a lot of games for an ok console.

What about the disc swap thing? I haven’t tried it myself but I heard its a thing.

I knew about that but i’ve also hear that its worse than modding. You could cause more damage to the system/disc that way instead of modding.

Oh yeah? I guess I shan’t be doing that then. Just got my Saturn back up and running last night, don’t want to screw it up.

I like Pulstar as well, but something about the back to the basics model Sonic Wings follows that I just really enjoy. I prefer it to the R-type “modular item” model. Plus in the NeoGeo CD version they gave it a cool drum and bass soundtrack which has grown on me.

Oh man, Last blade is a sweet game too, really a well presented fighter
