Lots of international PayPal buyer fraud…

On a lighter note, check out a BIN I scored yesterday:

I guess attempting to commit fraud never crosses my mind for my own transactions, which is why I didn’t even think of that as a possible reason. Plus, I previously didn’t know that it was easier to prevent fraudulent claims of non-receipt within one’s own country than with shipping across seas, so thanks for that info.

Nice BIN! 🙂

As an eBay Top Rated seller (toot toot) with multiple accounts and tens of thousands of positive feedback I can say I have a ton of experience on the issue of international shipping.

Although there is a certain amount of fraud which takes place, the vast majority of the Item Not Received disputes are due to customs officials seizing anything which suits their fancy. The worst offenders are in Italy and France, surprisingly enough.

It doesn’t matter if it is an eBay purchase or me just shipping something cool to a buddy in England – it seems that about 10 percent of packages just *poof* into nothingness once they reach customs. That is why I do not offer international shipping on anything I sell on eBay.

Curiously enough – I have *never* had a problem sending anything to or getting anything from China.

Now I know why I saw one seller who refused to ship anything to France. He or she only put a ban on shipping to France, no other country, or maybe Italy was included, now that I think about it. Thankfully, I had a winning bidder on one of my cartridge only Virtual Boy games who was from France, and the package seemed to make it to him okay.

Are there really problems with customs in the U.S.A., though? I’ve always received international shipments from many countries okay. Usually, the sellers require a signature at delivery, so I always have to make a special trip to the local post office and provide them my signature, which, I would think, should strongly protect against any possible attempts at non-receipt fraud.

Have any other U.S.A. buyers had their eyes on this one?

I’m not going to lie, if this still had the original artwork in the side panels, I would probably be making the 320 mile drive on the next available weekend.

If only I had the disposable income… 🙁

This is a crummy time to be looking for a job. NJ isn’t too far away from me, either. I’m sure the original inserts would pop up on eBay at some point or another.

I’d have been up for a drive for this but my car don’t float.

And that is some ‘chip’ there on the side panel, using the word chip really implies its small, not the whole corner missing, still not bad and it has the infinity sign up top, that what i really want.

*reads description* AHH! I must make sure I am in a VERY good financial standpoint before I would ever have children (if ever) because I dread the thought of getting rid of VB stuff because of one!

Anyways, cool find, even though I seen the same auction many months ago… except back then he just said he was getting rid of it because his spouse said so (or was it only the UK seller that said that? hmm…)

…I also must make sure I never have a spouse that is anti-Virtual Boy

/end of personal choice rant

I recall seeing some one selling alot of VB game like you said but theres did not have boxes. Most in the link have boxes.

…33 Games?! accessories?! a black version of that red promo keychain?! in Ontario, Canada which is not too far away?! AAAUUUGH I wish I could buy this!

Black Keychain. The price is too high, but I guess we all can make reasonable offers. On the upside, this is good news for the user here named mawa since he opted for the red keychain when these first surfaced. 🙂

My tally so far on VB keychains according to eBay records is 3x black & 1x red including this auction at hand.
