To quote the Ghoul from Fallout: “Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time” it is time for a update.
A lot has been done but the road is and was bumpy. Anyway, the Spaceworld VB Prototype project is almost done.
The prototype is fully build in CAD, final errors have been fixed.
The Controller was build from ground up again just using my 3D scans to avoid any conflicts.
This version is a complete rebuild of the prototype Controller with a different inner layout, the slightly different buttons and the proto PCB.
The PCB that has the Controller Connector inside the VB was also rebuild but with a PS/2 connector to make everything fully functional.
I have a few last bugfixes to do but then everything can be printed and assembled. I will post more pictures of it soon.
Today I want to show you something different. From time to time I was asking for japanese style VB
game boxes and Cart Sticker for a few titles/prototypes that actually need them. I finally looked into the matter myself and came up with the following 6 Boxes + Sticker.
All was build up from scratch using Mario Tennis as reference. No AI was used.
I made a complete japanese box template, that can be used for homebrew projects too.
The Spacepinball box is special because for this I used the actual Artwork I have in my possession.
I have posted a bit about it not so long ago. It took a while but I was able to restore the picture quite well. Again, no AI was used.
Wow looks so good. Great work. As a reminder i am Intrested in every thing you want to sale. So if the prototype controller look a like is made fore sale i am all in. Even the boxes look interesting to add to my collection.
I am not on diskcord often so geuss I miss all the good stuff.
These look fantastic! I’ve always been interested in making my own high quality boxes but wouldnt know where to start! Do you have printer recommendations, what type of paper is needed, etc?
