Original Post

Hey there, I am new to the forums – I am really sorry if this post is in the wrong place!!

I recently got a virtual boy with games from a yard sale, and I found a Wario Land demo cartridge, it says “demo only” “not for resale”. I was wondering if this is a particularly rare/valuable virtual boy cartridge, and if anyone knows what the general value of it should be?

I was unable to find much info about it after spending a while googling.

Thank you very much to anyone who can give me a bit more info!

You lucky duck the wario land game you have is the verison that was played at vb store displays, the game its self is pretty rare if you where to try and sell it on ebay it would bring $50 to $70 ๐Ÿ˜Ž depending on the condition. I hope that this answers your question.

Wow, I knew I was lucky when I saw the big box with a “$20” label on it, but I had no idea the game by itself would be worth that much.

This is what I got for $20:

Virtual boy with all parts (seems to work perfectly and is in good cosmetic condition)
Teleroboxer
Mario Tennis
Wario Land demo cartridge

Also picked up a bunch of Super Nintendo games for $1 each from the same yard sale…my lucky day!!

I know what you mean sometimes you can get lucky like that about two years ago I went to the flea market and there was this old guy who had a huge box that had a nes snes and a n64 with lots of games all for $20 like the video game freak I am I bought it im dead serious about this two ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜• >:( ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ  ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wario Land demo carts are pretty rare, I’ve been looking for one for very long. I’d guess $100+. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Nice bargain, 20 bucks for all that, sheesh i payed around 10 bucks each for marios tennis and teleroboxer lol

whats the wario land demo like ?

is the wario land demo different to the original, or is the demo just one level or two levels of the actual wario land game?

It’s exactly the same game, only the cartridge sticker is different:

Cool, thanks for that!

Yeah its the same exact game. I am probably going to put it up on eBay later today…

The virtual boy I got seems to work ok, but the right side doesn’t show anything, or just shows a garbled screen with lots of lines through it. Any idea how to fix this?

Edit: I read about the oven method and stuff…I don’t have a tool to remove the screws so I think I’ll just list it up on eBay since I already have a VB for my own personal collection.

Here is the listing for the demo cart btw:
