Hey,

I guess some of you know that I also collect arcade games… I’ve been working at getting my basement set up like an arcade for a while. I finally got it all together and all my games working. I had my first arcade party last weekend… it was LOTS of fun! Anyway, I figured I’d share some pics of the arcade πŸ™‚ .

Thanks for sharing that DogP

I never saw a Dr. Mario arcade machine until now!

also, pretty neat matching Pac-Man bathroom πŸ˜€

Cool πŸ˜€ Room. I like the floor to :-D.

Thanks

‘king sweet setup, bet your party was top fun, I too love the flooring.
Reminds me of a vegas casino carpet, maybe with some fear & loathing elements in there.

That looks awesome, DogP! Call me envious πŸ˜€

Epic collection. I bet the electric bill is epic as well! Nice work.

That really is AWESOME!!!!!!! DogP, when you gonna fly us all too your house to have a game night? πŸ˜›

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Heh, well… they’re all on only during a party… otherwise I only turn the ones on that I’m playing. But with the entire arcade on, it only costs about $1 per hour, plus the extra cooling (or minus the heating in the winter πŸ˜‰ ).

If you’re ever in the DC area, you’re welcome to stop by and play some games. I don’t think I can fly everyone out here though… at least not until we get that teleporter technology figured out πŸ˜‰ .

DogP

We don’t need a teleporter! When I win the lottery I will chater a plane for us… ok, when I have some Million Dollar I can buy these machines. But I’m sure I won’t find these flooring πŸ˜€

I really like to see and play them!

That looks incredible. Better than any regular arcade I’ve been to (which I have to admit, are few and far inbetween. Hey, arcades died at some point, right?).

I understand you were going for the classics but…. you need a couple of Hydro Thunder machines and an Area 51 or other gun game before it’s complete. 😎 Very cool though. Which machine(s) were most popular at your party?

Heh, arcades died several times… when, depends who you ask.

Yep… I’m planning on getting a Hydro Thunder soon, to put next to the SF Rush cabs. I used to have an Area 51/Maximum Force, but after playing through it a bunch of times, I decided it wasn’t worth keeping around. I do have Police 911 2, which IMO is one of the best shooting games.

The most popular games at the party were SF Rush and Ice Cold Beer, and the pinball machines got a lot of play too.

Just curious, do you have a significant other at the moment and if so, what do they think of your arcade project? πŸ˜€

I hope you know I was just kidding in my previous post, your arcade is freakin awesome. I’m jealous.

Heh, nope… single and enjoying myself πŸ˜€ . If I was married, you’d never see me here, and if I was lucky, I’d have 1 arcade game in the garage πŸ˜‰ .

thats really sad… now why would that be?

*goes off on a rant on how I’d never marry someone who doesn’t like the Virtual Boy… or video games*
