Just finished Warioland and wanted you all to know! πŸ˜€

Though I can certainly work on my time now, it’s 2:53:05 – but I have all treasures… πŸ™‚

Nice job getting all the treasures!

I really like Wario Land, it’s one of my favorite platformers now, and way better than Wario Land 2, 3, Shake It and Disguise. Wario Land 4 though is the best one for me, as well as my favorite GBA game. πŸ™‚

I do wish that there were at least a few extra levels in the game, as it seems short compared to Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, and it’s very easy to go through the game as just King Dragon Wario, the main theme is a little short and annoying, and the keys and treasures’ locations don’t change in hard mode.

Despite all those minor complaints, the game is endlessly repayable, with all 7 endings to get, as well as just being extremely fun and inventive. The intro is really cool, the hard-mode is a great addition(despite mostly being spiked balls galore) I love jumping into the backgrounds, the game is better than some Mario games(I daresay it’s better than Super Mario 3) the mini-game room is absolutely wonderful, and the final boss fight is incredible, and I prefer the Awazon Genie to the Golden Dina in Wario Land 4.

And here’s my list of favorite levels from best to least best, then bosses

Levels

6(great waterfall part, introduction of King Dragon Wario)
9(watermelons πŸ™‚ )
5(sprawling forest, and the Chippy natives are funny)
10(ginormous fun-house, great fun flying around, but giant mini-boss balls are too easy)
7(nice desert music, the palm trees are a nice touch)
11(great fun, but seemed somewhat linear for a later level)
13(I like the original music, and running through the swinging spiked balls one last time is awesome, mostly just linear though)
3(beautiful water theme, the fish enemies re-appeared in Wario Land 4, and now I can kill them, which was awesome πŸ™‚
1(intro stage, linear, but an intro stage. I love the frogs πŸ™‚ )
2(I actually like stage 1 a little better for some reason, still great though)

Bosses

Awazon Genie(no brainer, takes most hits, fun, has extra attack in hard mode, laughs when you die πŸ™‚ )

Fish Ball-Chain guy(love running through his ball and chain, like it when he shakes the ground)

Desert Worm thing(really cool background, suspense)

Robot(he feels cheap at times, but I love the little guy that controls him)

I hope you continue to play one of the best platformers of all time and have many fun hours like me. πŸ™‚

I certainly will continue for better times and the second quest! >:-D

The game is really great, I would give 9/10. One detail I really liked a lot and made me smile was in the water melon level when you have to catapult the small melons into the background at some places! 😎

It’s actually the first Wario Land game that I really played – I played all Mario Land titles for Game Boy/NES/SNES/NDS/3DS (only Wii I still have to put my hands on πŸ˜‰ ) and enjoyed them tremendously, but never catched on to the Wario Lands. Maybe I should revisit the Game Boy versions now! πŸ™‚

Unfortunately, the only Wario Land game similar to this one is Super Mario Land 3 on Gameboy. That one is a lot longer, and has more treasures, but seems repetitive at times. Great game though, and Mario makes a cameo at the end. πŸ˜‰

My favorite Wario Land, though, is either this one(it was designed for speed-runs, and it’s the most fun) or Wario Land 4. Wario Land 4 is not as long as Wario Land 3, but it is very cool and bizarre. The music and graphics are great, and best mini-games ever! πŸ™‚
