Hey guys it’s been awhile. First of all I would like to tell you that I received an Open Dive from Durovis and I already got my android phone and the headmount display working with a Virtual boy emulator and it looks great. I will be sure to post a youtube tutorial soon.

Works with Oculas and other homebrew VR steroscopic displays

On a side note if anyone is interested I just repaired two VB consoles and threw them up on Ebay. I might start repairing these guys because they are not to difficult to fix.

They should be sold separately at $35 (on bidding) each, and you should emphasise that the screens have been fully repaired and are guaranteed to function.

Have the display connectors actually been soldered on or just re-seated so that they function again?

baked, re-seated & taped down. Dusted out & polished.

Then you haven’t repaired them, baking is just a temporary solution and the glitches will certainly return.

Any idea how long it lasts after baking?

It can be anywhere between 1 week to a year, though I think selling this as repaired is not right/fair since they aren’t really repaired.

Yes I agree, solder repair is the only way to go as 19 year old glue won’t hold at all.
