Flea market virtual boy find this weekend.

Picked up a virtual boy this weekend for $10. Its missing the eye visor and battery back. I rigged up a A/C adapter using alligator clips and universal power supply. I found out the right eye is out but the left eye works. I played a match of tennis 🙂 Hopefully I can get it sorted out and get a nice unit in the end. This is my first system and is how I found this great site! 😀

I found mine at a flea market for $15. It was missing its stand, but it works perfectly. My back-up one was bought at a used video game store and has some minor issues.

Welcome.
Nice find, even if its a bit busted up, nothing that cannot be fixed with replacement parts.
Being from the UK we will never (well almost) see these for sale in anything but the retro shops, even then its a rare find, I have only ever seen 1 shop with 1 in it, about 10 plus years back and then I missed getting it, auction sites seem to be our only option.
Keep your eyes open and grab it if you see one.

Thanks I’ll look into that. I will definitely keep an eye out for more VB stuff. First one I have seen in person in a long time. Thanks for the warm welcome guys 🙂
