I’ve been mostly absent this year in the VB scene. I won’t go into great detail (since that’s not really relevant), but I will say that it resulted in four relocations and a lot of wishful thinking. My most recent relocation three weeks ago was for a venture that, sorry to say it, flopped fantastically. So I’m doing grunt work again to raise money to relocate… again. Every door surrounding this most recent opportunity has since closed, so I’m at a most interresting crossroads: where I go next, and what I do, well… that is whatever I make of it. And that brings me here.

Planet Virtual Boy is the most meaningful community for me, and since so much of my (limited) free time goes to it, I feel like there’s an opportunity here. I live in the US and that much can’t be changed at this time, but I would love to partner up with someone who is also involved in VB development/engineering and work with them in person–to join forces with someone to do great things for VB.

There’s no place in the country that is more than just a handful of gas tanks away, so with some funds and a little determination, there’s a lot that could happen. I wanted to extend this offer to Planet VB first, since I’m passionate about doing things for the system and frankly, this community has about the best support with regards to technical expertise and rallying together to make things happen. If I can bring it all just a little closer together, then that’s something I would love to do.

Something to think on if you’re into furthering the VB scene, or if you just want to see me stay focused on something for more than a week at a time. (-: If anyone has any interest, ideas or recommendations, drop a reply here in this thread or a PM in my inbox. I’m excited to see where this might go.

I can’t really help with this (among other things, I’m up in Canada), but I highly approve of some more VB love. Were you hoping to arrange something like with Hyper Fighting? Or more just a mutual collaboration?

Also, I know this can seem low priority, but was there any kind of project you had in mind? I know having a clear goal can make a big difference in making the best of time and money.

More general-purpose collaborative is what I had in mind. If I could team up with someone who did a lot with hardware innovations, I can only imagine what we might be able to accomplish together.

My exact plans include both anything and everything. In the short term I want to get back to work on the emulator project, and I have my audio project and another project on the list. But that’s just me. Working with someone else capable of getting stuff done, who knows what we might do.
