Original Post

Attached to this post are two PDFs, Part 1 and Part 2 of my translation for Family Computer Magazine’s special supplement, the “3D Virtual Boy Magazine.” I had to split the book into two parts due to the fact that as a single file, it was too large to attach in a forum post.

Wow, amazing work! That must’ve taken forever! O_O;

I raised the max attachment size for this forum, btw, so you can attach this as a single PDF.

This is really cool. Thanks for all the hard work, Ben!

Thanks, Ben!

Well, thanks for that, which I’ll keep in mind for the future, but unfortunately, it would take me many more hours to create a single file of this current work, given what I currently have access to and know. I made the mistake of beginning to create the single file on a laptop that had a recent version of Microsoft Word on it, and I used that program to make the first 30 pages, which took me well over a hundred hours, when I then lost access to that laptop. I transferred the file to my personal laptop, but the best program I could find online for free to open it was the latest version of LibreOffice. Needless to say, the file didn’t perfectly retain all of its original formatting, so I had to spend about 20 more hours or so just fixing the messed-up formatting on the previously made 30 pages, and for some of the messed up formatting, LibreOffice won’t let me fix it at all for reasons unknown to me, so there are still some minor formatting mishaps contained in the current files, which bother me somewhat, but I’ve decided just to leave them be, rather than take who knows how many more hours to fix them. Since I knew the single file wouldn’t fit on the site, I chopped the file into two files before then finalizing each one, and I know that if I now try to combine them into a single file, LibreOffice will screw up a lot of the formatting once again, and it will take me another 20 hours or so to fix everything, since LibreOffice doesn’t like receiving files that have a lot of content originally made in Microsoft Word. If anybody has a capable program and knows how to combine the two PDFs into a single file, please feel free to do so, but I don’t believe I currently have a program that can do that.
