How was JP Mario’s Tennis packaged?

I’ve seen the Japanese release of Mario’s Tennis in a few different ways. I’m pretty sure it shipped with the VB in Japan. I’ve seen it in its own small clear plastic bag and I’ve always assumed it came as the pack-in game this way? I’ve seen it in a larger bag with a manual. I’ve even seen it complete in a box. However, I never see the US box unless it was a blockbuster rental box.

So my question is, how exactly was JP Mario’s Tennis originally packaged and sold?
