So, I don’t have my hopes up yet, but I came across someone elsewhere that said they were considering selling some of their game collection which includes a VB counter display. I was wondering if anyone has a rough guess of what the approximate current going price would be for these. I know the real answer is “whatever we both are happy with”, but I don’t even know what ballpark to start negotiations in. Sorry for one of these annoying posts, but ideas are appreciated. I just don’t want to offer something laughably low, but I don’t want to offer a lost$$found absurdly high price either… if I even get a chance at all. Thanks for any input.

I only know that this smaller stand was sold on Jan, 23rd this year. So I guess the one that is offered to you is worth much more… Just for an orientation.

Damn bigmak, what has happened to retro collecting? $600 is actually something I could achieve saving and spending on something like that. This multi thousand business for some items is just flatout out of my price range.

Oh well, the way it goes, and at least getting in when I did I was able to get a collection I’m happy to have 🙂

Welp. Same @speedyink. I was hoping the answer was $500 or $600. Who knows… this dude might have been one of those folks that paid $2000+ or maybe he got it years ago… idk. Well, I guess we will see. If I even get a shot at it all they can say is no and I’m no worse off than I am now, I guess. I want one of these, but not $2000+ bad. Not even close. You can bet I’ll post it here first if I do swing a deal though! Thanks for all the input and in advance for anything anyone else adds.

Yep, that’s about right. He did get back to me today, which I appreciate. He was looking for north of $2500, which is apparently not that far off from the eBay prices y’all have shown. So I can’t blame him and am glad he actually followed up with me, but I’ll never have one if that’s what it costs. I want one bad and love the VB dearly, but can’t think of any object I collect that I would pay that much for. To each their own though. Guess I’m just going to have you hope one of you wills one to me out of the goodness of your heart (or else I get it at the estate sale) 🙂
