A game that would be perfect for Virtual Boy, looking at Red Alarm as a predecessor(or successor) is:

Star Wars the Arcade Game! The 1983 one. Vector graphics, but freaking awesome. And the lack of other colors wouldn’t be a loss nearly at all, and 3D in the death star trench? F***king A!

That would be sweet. That is definitely a title that should’ve been on the VB

Somebody get on the phone with Disney and try to get the property rights! 😉

That’s actually the game that I suggested to my brother to make for the Virtual Boy. It would be perfect.

I think a homebrew compilation with Star Wars arcade, Battlezone, and Star Castle would be awesome.

pretty much the entire library of vector based arcade games would be perfect for the virtual boy. now comes the hard part, who is going to make them for us to enjoy? =P

I think Battlezone,Tempest and Star Castle should be the 3 in a compilation. I think that the Star Wars collection should be seperate of itself. w StarWars and Empire Strikes Back as one cart.

That’s pretty cool 🙂

That’s a lot of goodness for a single video! 🙂

Provide the .vb for that? Please?

while we are making requests from the great M.K. could we see a vb version of Blastroids http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blasteroids
Astroids is cool but Blastroids is Awesome. it would’nt even matter if it were a vector version as long as it was played the same way. Not to take away from what you are doing w Asteroids. Because that’s not my point at all.

That Asteroids vid is cool, even though its not vector it still looks pretty good for bitmaps. Would be interesting to play on VB with some 3D background stuff going on.
Asteroids was one of them games that everyone tried to copy but IMO most failed, it needed vectors to look right and with the low res of consoles etc back then it just never really worked, but this looks good.
Asteroid clone that worked: vectrex minstorm, not strictly asteroids but pretty damn close and it still looks awesome, but then I would think that having only recently bought myself a vectrex so am loving the vector retro joy.

Sorry, but I won’t release it before it’s finished.
