All gone. Can be deleted.

Yes, that is true… I already bought a keychain which in the end will get very expensive with customs/shipping costs etc.
But I won´t get the chance to visit the museum in the near future since I am living in Germany and Kyoto is far away. And even if I should get there somehow I also would need a ticket, which is purely luck based.

Thanks! Is the entity editor enabled by default in preview version 5?

Thanks, got it!
What does the VUEngine showcase workspace main project include? I can find the background music of Virtual Warzone, pictures of zombies of Captain Sevilla and backgrounds of the platformer game. Is it hence a mixture of VUEngine based games?

I have ordered this kind of stand today.
For a horrendous amount of money.
But being a virtual boy fan is like having diabetes. You can´t get rid off it.

I am even not sure if it comes with the brackets for the controller.

EDIT: seeing that one has been sold here 8 years ago for 349€ gives me a slightly better feeling…

EDIT 2: got the confirmation that the stand is without any screws or brackets, so I will have to build something on my own. Dudeway4 already offered me his help on getting the dimensions for the brackets.
And I got it a bit cheaper because there are some scratches on it. Hopefully they can be polished out in some way.

The release list is very interesting: Virtual Double Yakuman, Doraemon, Interceptor, Sunday´s Point, Proteus Zone, Virtual Battle Ball.
Where are all these games??

Great video! This setup looks really sick 🙂

I encountered a bug yesterday: when I died for the second time the game freezes showing the attached image.
I could not do anything anymore which was sad since I had a new highscore.
Just wanted to share this.

Do you need to uninstall the previous version 4 before installing this new version?

Yes, works now, thanks!

My Hyperflash32 does not recognise the “tronimal_robonaut_pre.vb” file…

Tempting!
I like the third song.

Will check out the demo today on my HF32 and then decide.

Has the Blox 2 saving issue on real hardware ever been solved?

Yes, there is a 99-level-hack for Mario Clash. The first entry when you check for Games –> Mario Clash –> Downloads on the planet virtual boy site.

Regarding Space Squash: I don´t like the fact that you literally only have 4 recurring enemies, that every path you take is nearly the same and that it doesn´t save. The latter one has at least been overcome by a save patch, which I have now as physical copy.

Yes, Fishing is really great! I like the fact that every fish requires a different time to press the button to be caught. And that it saves your stats and catch records 🙂

You mean Virtual Warzone? I have it, you can get it from Retroonyx: https://www.retroonyx.com/product-page/virtual-warzone-cib
It is quite good, with save feature and good 3d-effect. I personally find the dashboard of your tank a bit too big, which reduces the 3d world down to just a half of the screen or so. But it is recommendable.

Incredible! You seem to have everything VB related 🙂

Crazy that you have interviewed the lead programmer of Red Alarm!
I wonder which demos he had played: “…. but I believe the unit was the size of a small desktop computer, with that black box connected to it by a wire. It came with a number of demos…”

I haven´t play all of the games yet, but my ranking so far:

S: Wario Land
A: Red Alarm, Bound High
B: Mario Clash (with save patch, which saves the progress after every cleared stage), Jack Bros., 3D Tetris, Vertical Force, Galactic Pinball, Faceball Remastered, V-Tetris
C: Space Squash, Innsmouth no Yakata, Teleroboxer, Virtual Fishing, Mario´s Tennis, Virtual Golf (with save patch)
D: Waterworld, Panic Bomber, SD Gundam
E:
F: Virtual League Baseball

Hi there,
welcome to the VB community.

Yes, the highscores are that high, people had nearly 30 years to create them, so yes, they are that high 😉

Thanks for the quick reply 🙂
So I will have a look for a good C programming starters book. This way I have something to do during the long and dark winter months 😉 Although I am sure I won´t be able to create a mindblowing game at all.

I see. So is learning C as programming language a good starting point? And “OO” stands for “Object-Oriented” programming?

Nice find!
Let´s see what they dig out. A dragon hopper cartridge?? 🙂 🙂
