to all friends & fellow VB gamers in the United States, hope y’all stuff yourselves, drink, play and have a happy time.

And i hope folks in the weather battered areas are all good and all that, and I so hope your collections weren’t in the basement.

And a very happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I’ve already had my fill of shrimp, mashed potatoes, green beans, pumpkin pie, and cookies. 🙂

Yay. Happy Thanksgiving. To celebrate, I bought a Banquet Turkey TV dinner. It was only 88 cents. I will eat it later since it’s before noon here.

There is no Thanksgiving over here but I just passed the defense of my PhD thesis… so I will just celebrate that.

Happy Thanksgiving to all over the pond!

Congratulations Thunderstruck.

VirtualChris enjoy your TV dinner.

I enjoyed my TV dinner. Cooked it in a conventional oven, took 25 minutes, but the mashed potatoes were done, which is a rarity when you use a microwave.

I went over to my Brother in Laws place. had a great meal and afterwards got to play catch phase. Much wanted I really enjoy board games.

Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a good one, and over eats some turkey 🙂

So funny story:

Background:
Canada has thanksgiving in October.
USA has Thanksgiving in November.
My last phone update lost my contacts
I have a good friend (Doug) in the US I visit every year in Seattle
I play Magic and travel to big events

Story:
So a friend (Ian) told me he was heading down to Seattle for US Thanksgiving again (we went together last year) about a month ago. I was going to be moving but thought I’d try to go anyways.
A week later, my Magic buddies mentioned an upcoming Magic event in Seattle. I thought that could be great I’ll be able to do both. I just need to contact Doug and see about staying there.
As the event got close, I had been unable to get hold of Doug, but finally he called me. Let’s say it was Tuesday. While we were chatting I asked if I could hang with him for part of Thanksgiving, and as usual he was ecstatic. Being a gamer and having space to spare I also asked if the rest of my Magic crew (5 including me) could crash. He talked to his wife and confirmed that they could spare the space, given that Thanksgiving was Thursday and the Magic event was Friday. So we were set.
Then, Friday morning Doug calls me to confirm everything. I said that’s great we’ll see you in 8 hours…….Doug stopped for a moment………………….it seems that I didn’t realize that Thanksgiving was the following week.
