My virtual boy arrives tomorrow, it is a japanese model with tap and ac adapter. I’d like to use the AC adapter, but being in the UK I have 230v at the wall, and I believe japan uses 100v. I can get a stewpdown converter that will get me to 110v, but not down to 100v. Is that close enough or will I damage my power supply?

In my experience it’s close enough, I’m using mine on 110v.

You could always use an original Sega MegaDrive power adapter instead. It works with the Japanese power tap.

Cheers both, have ordered a stepdown converter that will be here tomorrow. Good to know the megadrive one works too as I think I have a spare knocking around.
