Original Post

I have recreated a Dragon Hopper screenshot pixel by pixel, using a very high res and clean scanned screenshot from the “New Products 1996” Nintendo brochure that Virtual Jockey once posted. (Wonder how he’s doing, haven’t seen him in a while…)

I tried to stay as pixel perfect as possible but had to do some estimations at the edges of the screen, since that catalogue screenshot is cut off there.

That certainly does look pixel-perfect and incredibly good. Great job!

In 5 minutes by a PVB member called Lester Knight? 😛

There’s actual full screens on this page.

(By the way, it’s wrong, page 3’s thumbnail leads to page 4 and vice versa.)

Yep, I used these screens as a reference to recreate the outer areas of the screen, but that screenshot from the New Products catalogue is the only one where you can clearly see individual pixels.

Page order fixed, thanks!

that’s pretty cool! Time well spent on each pixel :).

Can we look forward to some PVB original screen renderings of Goldeneye, VB Mario Land, etc.?

One day we’ll see a release of this game and maybe Zero Racers too.

Hey, that looks familiar! 😮

I made that last year, I forgot that I hadn’t posted any pics here yet! If anyone wants anymore pics of the sculpture, let me know.

The sculpture itself is a little over 2″ high, and made from Sculpey.
