I am just curious as to whether you can burn a game larger than the game it came on. Say that Insecticide turns out to be larger in size than Mario’s Tennis. Could I still use Mario’s Tennis as a donor cart, or would Insecticide have to be the same size as MT (4 Mbit.) The reason I’m asking is because when I got my Flashboy, it first had Wario Land on it, which is 16MBit, which is apparently the size that VB games need to be on the FlashBoy, which is why we need the padder. Also, I have two spare Mario Tennis carts that I want to turn into Insecticide carts, so I’d need to know if I should try to make Insecticide 4Mbit, or if I can go to 8 MBit. As for why I need two Insecticide carts, that will be revealed once the game is finished…

You use the donor cart for the connector to the vboy itself. Your not reusing the board or chip (maybe the ram u can). You connect your own board and flashed chip.

With the present board design, you can go anything up to 16Mbit.

I’ve made carts for a few of the homebrew developers. I don’t charge any thing, just send me the donor cart and I’ll do the rest.

Thanks, I’ll let you know once my game is finished.
