I listen to lots of metal, death metal, a bit of black metal, but not too much hardcore… by hardcore, are you meaning the original style of hardcore (like the very fast post-punk stuff the Beastie Boys did at the beginning of their existance) or are you talking about the stuff people call hardcore these days, which is basically break-down after break-down after break-down and not a whole lot of melody or song structure whatsoever?

I’m not trying to rip on you if that’s what you like, it’s just not my thing.
