Well here is my bug report for beta build 2:
– The “?” disappear after restart from the map overview
– In room F51 where the guy is running around with you and you have to pass a very large vertically moving bar: I could not manage to clear this room. Then I shut down the VB and continued the game after having restart the VB. I continued in F51 but the guy was gone. I could clear the room, a transport was found in F53 and at first I thought the game is broken, because I could not use it, because the guy was missing, but suddenly it worked and I could get transported back on the normal map. The guy is still shown as resuced btw.
– Room W11 is very laggy.
– Jump in room L14 to L17 over three screens is impossible in my opinion, I had to cheat there.
– In room F32 (the one where the bottom is moving upwards) the checkpoints are not lit correctly after having activated them.
– I was stuck in room F011. This is after having resuced all team members. You activate something (after a log with 7 pages of text) but then you can´t get out of here anymore. Strangel after a VB restart and game continue I could leave room F011 and was able to complete the game.
Such a GREAT GAME!
Thank you so much, this is truly invaluable.
That is where you see how important level design is in a game. All I did was port it, and customize:
– the captain, the crew, and the enemies.
- every room’s tiles and backgrounds.
- the title screen, menus, and map.
- the music: original chiptune tracks, none of the PC soundtrack.
(Not to mention a few weeks of Anthropic subscription and weeks of learning development skills.)
The rest is just the game’s magic at work, and that is not mine.
