Wow, we should bid on that collectively to insure the ROM getting out in the wild and to not outbid eachother what would be dumb :P.
I would put down a few Euro’s bucks on it if more people would too!

Seems like it could some home-made cartridge version… not including a picture doesn’t really attract money, does it?

Hopefully better looking than the one Molander has…

So ask for pictures or report it.

I wonder how long after this one is sold he’ll put another one up?

Yeah e5frog, you are right, guess I am still a bit intoxicated because of yesterday :P. We should definitely wait on the next one, although you get a Flashboy with it!

Well, it says that “pictures will be provided on request”.

I’d be careful with that. He’s already listed that 3 times and its been pulled each time.

What?

… but as he has posted his e-mail he can sell them off eBay to anyone that requests it.

If you check out the auction it says Bound High comes on a Flashboy. So 99 dollars is a sweet deal anyways 😛

Um… is that even legal? selling a rom on ebay?

It’s not legal. I bet on it e few days ago and ebay closed the auction and wrote to me:

“Dear …,

Thanks for your interest in this listing:

300396009236 – Nintendo Virtual Boy Bound High! on Flashboy rare flash

While the vast majority of trade on our site is legitimate, we take many steps to protect our buyers from sellers who may offer items that are not authentic. One of them is to remove items reported to us as allegedly infringing through eBay’s VeRO program. In this case, we removed the listing because the owner of a copyright and/or trademark in this product has reported to us that they believe the item may not be authentic.

We hope you’ll understand that this action is intended to help protect you as a buyer.

We apologize for any inconvenience. eBay still has lots of other great deals. Just go to http://www.ebay.com to shop. We hope to see you soon.

Important: If you won the item and haven’t paid for it yet, you should not complete the transaction. If you’ve already paid for the item, you may be able to recover your purchase price plus original shipping costs through the eBay resolution process:

We’re sorry to tell you that the item isn’t available for purchase anymore. We removed the listing because it likely fell into one of these three categories:

— The listing doesn’t follow eBay guidelines.
— The item isn’t allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
— The listing contains pictures or words that may have violated copyright or trademark rights.

This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it’s an action we have to take to protect you as a buyer.

Important: If you won the item and haven’t paid for it yet, you don’t need to complete the transaction. If you’ve already paid for the item, we encourage you to contact the seller to get more information about the transaction. I placed a bid for the heck of it, not planning on winning, feel likes it gonna be pulled shortly

I emailed him about it. He said he wants me to send him cash for it and he’ll send the game out when he receives the money. That sounds WAY fishy to me.

Yea i don’t trust it… I’m gonna stay away.

No picture, and such, and with the added email and off ebay deals… I don’t like it.

Seems like, the auction has ended again…

If anyone out there is offering that guy money, please talk to me first about it. I can guarantee he is going to cheat you. He has been buffing his offers to get more money from people and should not really be selling that crap version of the rom. It runs like total shit, I can tell you that much right now.

Perhaps Chris knows who it is then… perhaps he has bought several FlashBoys and sold several each time he put in an eBay auction…

Or it could be just a scam, sending cash and wait for the goods is usually not a good thing, and especially when it’s a rare item like this. Well not the FlashBoy (as I saw from the picture links he sent me) but the rom-image on it…

He confirmed that it was the “shitty” version of the rom that runs well in emulation but not that well on the real thing. Could it perhaps be some ram latency problem? That would not be present in emulation.

He has a lot of feedback on eBay though.

Perhaps he’ll even sell just the rom-image cheap considering he only asked for $99 for it on a FlashBoy…

If you ask me that is really ingrateful to sell a flashboy beacause there so scarce and if you had one you would have easy and cheap acess to all of the games, and im pretty sure the person would rip who ever wins off, also im sure it dosent even have bound high on it I know in the listing it says that it has a glitched up version on it but I highly doubt it and who would pay that much for a shit version of the game anyway.

I know someone who paid four figures for one – on homebuilt hardware though but still… I haven’t figured out if it’s the glitchy version though. If it’s not it might have been worth it…

Well I would pay a lot of money for a working not clitchy version of the game and the game its self I would say its worth $1000 to $3000 and if I had the money I would actully pay that much for it even if it had ‘property of nintendo’ written in marker on the sticker like the space pinball prototype that was on ebay about six years ago.

Its not a latency issue. Its just a shit build of the rom from code instead of a dump from an actual cart. I talked to the guy about it and I have a good idea of the exact version he’s trying to sell. My sincerest advice is to stay away. It smells way too fishy to be legit.

The seller contacted me, if I wanna buy the FlashBoy.
Price is 150 Euro.
But I’m down and out, unfortunately 🙁

Do anyone wish to buy? So contact me for the e-mail address of the seller.
