I was looking around online to see if anyone sold custom made game cases and had no luck. I did how ever find this article: http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=79852 . Its pretty darn nifty what this guy did. Nintendo even sells them in red. How awesome!

if you are a gamer and not a collector, you can fit the VB games into sega game gear cases. they fit sideways, so the case opens like a book. i had to take a dremel to the plastic that holds the cart in to get a few of the cases to close just right. it was a fun project. i still want to add custom box art stickers to them one of these days.

word of advice, not all game gear cases work. some i had were a tad snug and not usable.

This is how I have my games. I just wish someone would post covers for all the wonderful games from Tusk and co.

I posted one for Faceball: Remastered a whole while ago.

I contacted that guy at NintendoAge and got the image files that he used to make those cases and posted them here on the site a while ago. Here is the link to them, in case you want to try to make your own cases:

And here is the link to thunderstruck’s covers.

Wow… Thanks alot Ben! I really appreciate it!

yea I thought my bound high was good. lol

If anyone happens to have the covers already made for the following games, could they please upload them? Space Pinball, SD Gundam pvb version, Blox, and Faceball prototype edition. Thanks.

Those cases from the first post are absolutely lovely. Makes it look all modern, too!

I have to agree that those cases from the first post look great. If I would not be a collector I would try to go for that solution as well and I guess that those cases also take less space than the original boxes.

Here’s the cases I made for my collection. I happened to have a ton of extra black DS cases so I decided to use them instead of ordering the red ones.

Hey, can you post your cover files for the following games please?

Space Squash NA
FaceBall VB
FaceBall Remastered
Virtual Fishing
Space Pinball
Bound High

I would just need SD Gundam NA cover then (If you have that too that would be great). Thank you so much, they look awesome!

Sorry for the delay. Here are the covers for Bound High and Faceball Remastered (credit goes to Thunderstruck). Also here is the cover for Space Squash (credit goes to craby). Unfortunately I already deleted the files for the others but here is what I did. For virtual fishing, I used the images below and pasted them into one of the other cover files. I resized them to fit the back and front. Then I cut the logo off the front box image and turned it vertical and resized it to fit the spine of the case. As for the others… I used a friends scanner and just scanned the boxes and did the same process as virtual fishing. To be honest, they look terrible in comparison to the others. The others look like original art and these ones look like images. It just doesn’t look right when holding them next to others but it will have to do seeing as how I couldn’t find the artwork anywhere. I hope this helps you in finishing your cases.

Those cases look awesome, nice work! How do you keep the games secure inside the case? These are actually a good idea so you can save wear and tear on the original boxes.

Well, that’s not red cases, but since it’s difficult to find these cases outside of North America (lost 2 hours searching on the web), here is a shop selling original black cases worldwide:

http://www.nintendorepairhut.com/accessories/gamboyandnintendods.html

They are as cheap as 1.50$ each: on eBay you’d find them at 9$ !

I’m currently waiting for a few ones to test the quality, then I’ll tell you if it’s worth it.

Hi, First post.
I’m a Cover Guru over at The Cover Project and I just got into collecting for Virtual Boy and I wanted to get my games cased up. A lot of the existing covers could use a tune up.
I was wondering if anyone had any boxes they could scan

Here is a forum topic of a user who was making some new covers:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=17170.0

So far covers exist for:
Golf
Nester’s Funky Bowling
Mario’s Tennis
Teleroboxer
Virtual League Baseball
Waterworld
V-Tetris (In NTSC Style)
Mario Clash

And I have boxes for:
Wario Land
Banic Bomber
And I’m planning on making covers soon.

To anyone who heeds cases, there is a user over there making cases in the size of DS cases, but hold GB/GBC/GBA games and manuals. You still have to mod them to hold VB games, and they only come in back, but he is planning to eventually make VB cases.

Those cases are nice. I may have to pick some up. If you could make slipcovers for the Planet VB games, that would be fantastic. That and the Japanese only releases.

How do you guys print these, what program do you guys use? I have the cases here for a long time, but never got to print them. Shame on me, since Benjamin helped me out with these a long time ago by being my proxy.

Just go into paint and print 100%, or scale to page if printing with standard printer paper.

@Hawk
What are the Planet VB games?
And for other covers, I would need decent sized scans.
There seems to be some in the games section of the site, any requests?

Bound High
Space Pinball
Fishbone
Blox
SD Gundam (English version)
Space Squash (English version)
Faceball Prototype Edition
Faceball Remastered

JP games:
Virtual Lab
Virtual Fishing
Insmouse
Virtual Bowling
SD Gundam
Space Squash
