There are these settings when you write a message:

Enable Smiley
Enable Xoops Code
Enable line break (Suggest to turn off if HTML enabled)
Attach Signature
Notify me of new posts in this thread

The last one seems to be not ticked by default the upper three seems to be that and the signature can be changed in the settings…

Is there anyway I can change so that I always get a notification of a new post instead of having to remember to tick that box every time?

I have looked around but haven’t found any.

I’m sure I have missed a lot of stuff because of this. 🙁

Sorry, there’s no way to auto check the notification box. :/

If your browser supports it, you could make a script or style-sheet that could check/uncheck whatever boxes you want. Opera has user-defined scripts and CSS built-in and FF has script plugins (GreaseMonkey, for one).

Yes, that’s possible…

I’m an active member in seven or eight forums and this is the only one that doesn’t have such a setting in the “profile settings”.

I see no reason why it couldn’t work exactly like the “Attach Signature” to enable it globally in all posts via the user settings. So it feels more like it’s a choice not to have it, maybe it reduces traffic?

I guess I can just try and remember to click that every time.

This is probably the only forum you go to that also doesn’t have the option to stay logged in 😉 .
