In my loose VB game collecting, I find myself with a stack of loose games, many of which have dust covers. But not all!

I go on ebay and look for dust covers. If you want a small number, if you want a few dust covers, you have to pay 3-5 dollars per cover! If you want 50 or 100, there’s a guy in Mexico who somehow has a lot of them. A LOT of them. And you can pay .80 – 1.20 each.

Who is this guy in Mexico City who has so many dust covers, and copies of Wario Land? Are you here on PVB?

And does anyone want to go in with me on a bulk order of dust covers?

Does anyone really care about dust covers?

I need about 11, myself but I was debating on going the route of finding someone with a 3D printer that would be willing to just print a few. The files for it are readily available online last time I checked. Depending on the price I may be down for a bulk buy.

I was staring at my stack of carts and pondering dust covers recently too. I’d need 7-10 and would also be down to consider a bulk purchase.

I grab them when I can find them and usually pay $2-4 ea. That is just what they are going for right now. Most used game stores I find them at want $5+ ea.

There is a guy on eBay who sells 3D printed covers: HERE.

I’ve also been curious about the guys in Mexico City. I’ve spoken to what I think were two different people about the lots that get listed. I never got a straight answer as to where they are coming from. It’s eBay and Paypal, so you have protection. If you have the extra cash it might be worth placing an order.

I’ve purchased from Victor, who is one of the Mexican suppliers. Never had an issue. Nice guy.

I did some math, if we get enough people to in on a group buy of 50, if everyone wants 10, we could end up getting them for between $1.50-$1.60 a piece, including shipping to everyone.

If we get enough for a group buy of 100, we could bring it down to between $1.10-$1.20 a piece, shipped. Not bad!

I’d be in for 10.
