Original Post

The story of this project is long and eventful, but I won’t bore you with it…

Suffice it to say that this… thing would not exist if it were not for this great website and the many kind, talented VB coders and loyal VB fans that bask in its warmth.

I wanted (and still want) this to become an actual game, maybe even multiplayer, but I made too many false starts to make it one before the compo. (The source will probably be released in the future, but code examples and tips are free for the taking; just ask!)

It may or may not run on the VB hardware, but it runs nicely on Reality Boy 0.822a.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed expanding my VB (and math) knowledge in its creation.

wow, secret entry number one! πŸ™‚ the iphone like “sliding” is cool!

before anyone asks, just rename “Hover.01” to “Hover.vb” or just open it in reality boy, it is not a super-secret format. πŸ˜‰

Glad you like it!

heh, d’oh… I had to rename it to mail it to a FlashBoy owner for testing. Apparently, G-Mail thinks a “.vb” file is bad. Just more prejudice against our red friend. πŸ˜‰

Here’s a very minor update (no renaming required ;-)).

did you change anything else or did you only rename the file?

I tweaked some speed settings based on some feedback and added a nice fade-in.

Very good looking demo!

Thanks, xenon!

Too bad I can’t count that as a vote πŸ˜‰

*BUMP*

I uploaded the source code (see first post) and it’s not even a whole year later! πŸ˜›
