A friend of mine had a very interesting thought; He came up with this thought when he was asking if anyone is selling replacements. I gave him an ebay link (although they are a bit pricy) for some and he is thinking of purchasing one and then seeing what he could do in terms of trying to figure out how to make replacements! He was talking about how they are quite expensive and don’t age well… he says his deteriorated although it was extremely cared for.

What is everyone’s thoughts on this?

Mine is still great, thankfully.

Well they don’t last forever, so it would be nice to be able to get replacements. They’re like $60 or so for an official one (ebay), which is pricey for what it is.

I can imagine a sort of cheap replacement being made out of a stiff felt or something… It’s not a bad idea at all!
