I was reading some GameFan issues (the ones before the Virtual Boy was even a thing) and i came with some screenshots of Flashback: The Quest for Identity. I believe these one are from very late into the game but the color scheme of the alarm reminded me of the Virtual Boy and it got me thinking; It is really possible to port Flashback to the VB? I don’t know but what do you guys think?

Probably not powereful enough, but the REminiscence engine has been ported to several platforms.

I always thought Another World/Out of this World would make for a great VB game. Some of the background stuff in FlashBack could make for fun 3D.

It would be spectacular to play Another World in 3D! Some many games would transfer well to 3D. I still have high hopes for a Uninvited or Shadowgate style point’n’click adventure game.

Shadowgate, The Uninvited, and Deja Vu….

I’ve approached coders/artists about remaking Shadowgate for the VB for years. I’ve always wanted to rewrite the script, expand the story a little bit (a few extra rooms, multiple endings, etc), and add back in the black axe. I even contacted Dave Marsh once to try and get a better understanding of how they intended to implement it. I’ve always envisioned a VB version with the original NES 8-bit graphics.

I have no interest in coding again and it would take me forever to do the art. I never wanted to make it a year+ long project, so I gave up after a partial plotting of the script. I do think about this project, often….
