I bought a FB+ from you back in 2011 and it worked great… since then I’ve built a new computer and it’s been some time since I’ve used my FB+.

I recently downloaded the software from your website and am having problems flashing games:

– The FlashBoy software detects the FB+ as [connected]
– I’m able to tick a rom box and the FLASH button becomes active
– The FB+ is erased and the progress bar indicates that it flashed to 100%
– The 100% bar stays lit but the FLASH button becomes active again
– When I unplug the FB+, I receive an error which says “Thread error: The handle is invalid (6)”
– There is no game that plays when I plug the FB+ into my Virtual Boy

Any reason why this is not working? I’ve tried multiple USB ports on multiple computers and the result is the same.

First, let me say that your avatar amuses me. πŸ™‚

Second, did you pad the files using the padder utility which converts the files to 2MB? If they aren’t padded then they won’t work.

Also, the error you get also appears on my computer if I don’t “stop” the external device to make it safe for removal. It doesn’t affect playability, though. [Edit: at least in my case…]

I am an asshole and totally forgot about padding in the time between last using my FB+ and now… issue resolved!

And thanks for the avatar compliment, I’m a big fan of it as well πŸ™‚

I actually can’t flash it from my main computer..something is wonky about my usb connections :p problems with skype also. So, to flash I have to use my wife’s laptop :P..oh she luvs that πŸ˜›

Recently..we reformatted the laptop also…so I have to reinstall everything…blah…I just want to play the demos.

Sheesh, if that makes you an asshole, then I don’t want to know what that makes me. The only reason I replied so quickly is because I’ve done the same thing many times. I’ve sat scratching my head on several occassions before I realized my mistake! πŸ˜›

jeez..i actually sent my working flashboy back to richard to fix…when it was my usb cable..sent that bastard to England.
