Here is a (huge! I hope you’re on broadband! :-P) page full of sprites and other game assets submitted to a contest. They’re all released under a Creative Commons license, so they should be fine to use in compo entries. Or they might just give you ideas for making your own art, etc.

wow thats alot of sprites!!!

whats with the lame religion quotes?

Don’t harsh on peoples’ religious beliefs. People can believe in whatever they want. Calling their beliefs lame isn’t going to win you any “cool” points, or make you any friends.

just like how calling the Virtual Boy lame (especially if you never played one) doesn’t win you any “cool” points? 😛

(even though I’m not religious myself I thought I’d say so)

oops, sorry I’m offtopic

I really don’t think he was making fun of religious people, just that religious quotes don’t really have any context when you’re talking about sprites. 😛

Im a christian does that make me lame no!Sorry Runnerpack to be offtopic.

Do I hate religion? yes i do but back to the topic
I wanted to make a vb game but it was to hard haha, heck I dont even know how to change a sprite or game to red/black

you can’t blame him for asking about the quote. if you’re going to be that forward about it someone is going to ask questions. the way i see it the is no harm in you putting it up and no harm in akumie’s asking about it.

Very true, no harm in asking, but i think referring to them as lame in the initial question is a little insulting.

That was sort of my point (and I’m sorry to have derailed the thread so much, but I think it’s important). You wouldn’t walk down the street and call a random stranger’s girlfriend lame to their face because you didn’t like what they were wearing. It’s fine to disagree, just do so respectfully.

Didn’t anyones mother tell them not to engage in any sort of religious debate on the internet?

Off topic:
I’m pretty sure asking the girlfriend politely wouldn’t go over so well either. “Excuse me, ma’am, but why those shoes?” You’d get smacked by her or punched by the boyfriend. LOL.

On topic:
Thanks for the link RunnerPack, some good stuff there.

Well… I wouldn’t unless if they were saying something hateful against the Virtual Boy 😉
