Since not everyone is able to get a hold of the original VB cases, how are you storing your VB unit and games?

Mine is stored in a 5-Gallon rubbermaid container disassembled, along with all the games I have, the manuals, and accessories. It’s not perfect but at least it keeps the dust off. I’ve been thinking of buying a padded camera bag large enough to hold everything.

Mine is stored in an old time projector case. It is perfect fit and can house 2 head units and even has a space built in for the stand.:vb:

Mine just sits on the kitchen table. I don’t use the table for eating anyways, and it’s nice to just sit down and play. It gets dusted it off with the rest of my things every one or two weeks.

Before, I had it in like 10 plastic bags and inside of a plastic storage bin to protect it. Now I have mine in a Blockbuster hardcase and keep it in my bedroom closet for easy access.

I keep mine on the top shelf where I keep my video games on it’s stand.

Unfortunately I can’t keep the Virtual Boy out assembled and everything, it has to be put away most of the time. I use a generic carry bag with a lot of internal space. Before I just left bags of GB cartridges in there, now I put my two VB headsets there, along with my stand, games, AC adapter and AC tap/battery packs. It’s a good fit, though the headsets sit on top of each other in a stack.

I stored one of mine VB’s on the top of my Nintendo glass -cabinet, the VB is the “Crown“ 😉
My other VirtualBoy’s are in original boxes and blockbuster case.

Thank you InactiveX!
If i see bigger collctions like mine i think the same!
I love G&W too,it reminds always to the good old 80’s(i’m 45)

Here is a better photo of the G&W

Heheh, ’80s kid here too (I have a month left before the four-oh).

I have a couple of G&Ws, and I always buy up cute handhelds whenever I see them. I’m not a serious collector though – my games are all visibly used, and get played too. One of my younger friends made me laugh after she played Mario Bros G&W and said “how do you switch it off?”.

I have very fond memories of a fog-drenched English school yard in winter, with every other kid there having a Game & Watch in his/her hands!

The VB is stored up against my face with the power switch on 🙂
I keep a backup unit in my soft Performance bag in my game cabinet. My main one stays on my stand just sitting out in the open. I enjoy coming home and seeing it all ready to go. The backup backup one is in its box along with my other consoles.

Mine stands on a shelf and is simply covered with a sheet.

What’s that case there KJ?? Looks like some fancy, color-matched homemade one 🙂

And what is that giant Game Boy thing Arvester?

A quick Google of the number on there reveals it’s a generic case for AV equipment.

And that Gameboy display unit is awesome, Arvester. Want!

It’s a store display. It allows you to play GameBoy on a big screen. Those were found in stores back in 1989 so customers could discover the handeld.
But mine is a “fake” one, not an original one. I built it but it’s fully playable and that’s the important point ^^

Correct. HPRC2600F case.

Imo, $150+ for the blockbuster case is now ridiculous for anything but collecting.

Hah, I was going to Google it but the tab was way over there and I was in a hurry O:)

And that Game Boy thing is awesome, how did you build it? Some kind of Super Game Boy mod??

Just sitting in the original box in the closet.

Hi,

After reading these posts, I decided to thinking about a great stuff to store my VB. An d the solution was very near, by my side… My wife! She’s a very great needlewoman and propose me to sew a dust cover. Here is the result, I find it so nice! She make me a surprise by sew the name plate. I really thanks her.

I hope my post would help some people in thinking about a storage solution.

I store one complete in box above my display case and the other is sitting (waiting to be played) on top of a Blockbuster case.
