Hello everyone!

I was contacted by “mellott124” who asked me if wanted to create a default set of labels for the HyperFlash 32, which I gladly did. My plan was to create a set for the officially released games anyway.

If you have no idea what i’m talking about, please see the “HyperFlash eInk Label Art Contest” thread in this forum.

You’ll be able to follow my progress in this thread.

The basic idea behind the labels:
– It should be easy to identify the game.
– The design should look clean and be coherent.
– A (somewhat) homage to the old american box design.
– Fun and true to my own vision.

It’s really great to be a part of this great project! I will do my best to make these as awesome as I can. If you don’t like them in the end, I guess you can always switch them out 😉

I thought I’d update here as well as per tradition 😉 but I’ve already shared the icon and label on discord and they’re on Dropbox, for anyone with a HF32 cart, who wants to download it.

Hey Mumphy, great work on the labels.
The Bound High label has a couple of blocks that look out of place, on the S and to the left of the B.

@dasi I realized I forgot to answer you. That was intentional and done as a joke (the Bound high character bounced on those blocks :). Enough people didn’t catch on to it for me to update the label, haha.

I’ve added a label and icon for Fishbone to the default set!

Hey! I’ve made BWR versions of all my BW labels. They can be found here: https://www.virtual-boy.com/hardware/hyperflash32/downloads/1046707/

For now, only the .bmp files are up.

These are my absolute favorite labels for the HyperFlash32. I was hoping maybe you would follow up with the most recent licensed releases (Dragon Hopper, Zero Racers, and Virtual League Baseball 2), but it looks like you haven’t logged in in about 2 years. I decided to take a shot at creating these labels in the same style. I hope you don’t mind me posting them. I don’t have a fraction of your talent, but hopefully these are decent enough that someone might find some use for them. Thanks for all the effort you put into creating these.

Aw, thanks man! Appreciate it.
I do lurk in the PVB Discord from time to time, but rarely check the forums. I have not done any personal work for quite some time, and I have no plans on doing more labels currently. Who knows, maybe I’ll come back to this project some day. Can’t make any promises.

I think you’ve done an excellent job with those labels. I don’t mind at all.
