I’ve done the oven trick on my Virtual Boy about three times, and it works for a week but eventually fails again. I’m tired of this and I’m very interested in paying someone to do the permanent fix for me. Is there anyone who provides this service or would for a fee?

I sent him an email, but it looks like he hasn’t done any repairs on them in about a year, and hasn’t logged in on here since September. Is he the only one?

Only person I know of that actually offered a VB repair service. His AIM is listed in his profile, I’ve seen him on recently.

Otherwise, get handy with a soldering iron, son!
If that bothers you and you wish to bake, I’d recommend removing the eyepiece and baking it by itself, instead of torturing the entire console.

Yikes! I didn’t mean I baked the whole Virtual Boy, just the eye pieces! ~_~

It’s a shame theforce81 lives in the Netherlands (I’m in the US), otherwise, I might have had him do them. In fact, I might still be desperate enough to ask him. Thanks 🙂
