Well the import VB came today! Opening it was like being back in 1995 and getting a new VB. πŸ™‚

System is in great shape and looks awesome sitting on my gaming desk. Came with a copy of Mario tennis which wasn’t even advertised with the listing, which is awesome!

The only thing that sucks? My ac adapter doesn’t work. Apparently US SNES adapters don’t work with Japanese VB units. This is basically asking for a Famicom AC adapter πŸ™ . So no.. I can’t play it. Which sucks.

But, hey, I have something pretty to stare at until I find a solution. Really wish I had the solution now, but I can be happy with it at least being here.

awesome!

don’t quote me on this next statement because i can’t really recall clearly, but i think the sega master system plug will work as well as the original NES plug.

i’m sure someone will be along shortly to correct me if i am wrong.

was your mario tennis game the japanese release? i have one of those, which oddly enough came as the donor cart with my flashboy+ box!

Yes; Sega Genesis model 1 DC Adapter will work but NES AC Adapters will surely blow up the VB.

I got a Genesis Model 1 adapter today and it works like a charm :). Everything about this is in tip top shape and I’m so thrilled with it. The picture looks great as well.

Another day, another picture. Now fully functional and set up:

I am glad it worked for you, but if you intend to play it often you should get the screens soldered because VB doesn’t like constant play. πŸ™

Yeah, I found a guy who will do the soldering on these forums. But I can’t for the life of me get the vb open, so shipping all the way to Great Britain and back will make the whole process really expensive. So I’m saving up for that repair. Unless hopefully I can find someone in the US who can do that for me. We’ll see.

I need to start playing mine again, i’ve been neglecting it. I think the reason I stopped playing it because I think the eyes were showing the early signs of going out.

I see, well you must return to the mighty virtual boy! As its to fun to ignore forever, and it needs played.
