Anyone around? I am attending this weekend. Can’t get to Discord on my BlackBerry, but I can check here.

Anyway, I saw Panic Bomber (cart only) for 25 bucks yesterday.

This event is awesome and there is zero Virtual Boy representation. Perhaps something to consider in the future? There’s definitely room for this obscure little machine to have a booth dedicated to it. Would it be too forward to see if anyone would be interested in doing something for next year? Just a thought.

Hell, maybe ask the Vectrex community to join in to be booth neighbors, Idk. The vibe here is amazing. Games for days…

Aaaaaand if there’s anyone that cares, this is the coolest indie game I saw there. When talking to the devs, they totally were familiar with my reference to Teleroboxer, and that makes me curious about whether or not something like this would be possible on the VB.

The demo is free.

That game does, in fact, look really fun! 😀

Wait, what is going on here?! Knightcrawler? Hmmmmmmm.

Have we met? This weekend? No worries if you don’t want to reveal identity!

I hate how poorly underrepresented the VB is at these events. When I did AVGC the last two years I brought the VB/VG and it got a lot of attention. The curiosity is there for plenty of people.

I had a bunch of friends go to MAGfest this weekend and one of them was even working security. I need to make it one year to MAGfest. TooManyGames is also on my list as is the Portland Retro Gaming Expo.

There was plenty of space in the console room for a VB setup. Other than that and the Panic Bomber cart I bought, a vendor booth had a controller for sale and that was it.

I think people would really appreciate the VB’s presence and it just might be a calling for PVB to step up and represent. Just going to say it again: if anyone’s interested in putting something together for next year, I too am also interested. It did feel like Virtual Boy was missing.

On the other hand, if it’s better that Virtual Boy remain an enigma of sorts, then I am all for that, too.
