Hi, I have an issue with my Virtual Boy that renders it unplayable. I have looked over the other posts regarding glitches and errors and I don’t seem to see anyone who is having the same problem, maybe I missed it I dont know. Anyway, My left eye piece is having a mirroring issue.

It shows the normal left eye display image that it should, and at the same time it shows a mirror image of the right eye display at the same time. I run the alignment check and when I do it will show a flat line in the left eye piece and two vertical lines in the right, like it should, and when it glitches and does the mirror image problem, I get the flat line and two vertical lines both in the left eye, as if it is showing the left and right eye images in the same eye, except that the right eye image in the left eye is reversed.

Sometimes it doesn’t do it sometimes it does, it comes and goes. It also almost seems like the problem fades when on the alignment screen, because the displays go back to normal, but the moment I exit the alignment screen and return to the game, the problem returns… I’m really just confused, so any help anyone could put forward would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

That’s just another symptom of the standard glitchy display cable syndrome. It’s caused by the fact that all signals are shared between both displays except for one “select” signal. When this signal glitches, it causes the mirroring you’re experiencing. Just fix the cables with one of the methods described on the site (or have someone else do it) and it’ll be perfectly playable again.

Thanks. I thought it may be but I wasn’t sure, and I hadn’t seen a description anywhere of the mirror effect thing happening, so I thought it may be something different or strange. Thank you for the help, guess I gotta find me a game bit lol.
