Which looks more like a polished turd at the moment. It is the Sharp 19SV111. My particular unit still is fully functional though its exterior is not pretty to look at.

“It’s the first television with built-in NES, released in September 1989. These models were sold at Sears and Kmart.

It is an official Nintendo television that also includes all the capabilities of the original system itself, including the ‘Power’ and ‘Reset’ buttons, two controller jacks and a Game Pak port. Production was discontinued in January, 1990 (most likely due to unfavorable sales).”

Crazy. I didn’t even know those exist.

You aren’t the only one that didn’t know that. Many people I know had no idea this was a real licensed product of Nintendo. I played on this bad boy exclusively from the time I was in diapers till I got engaged. It still works but I wanna see it shine again. I wanna try to get the missing pieces 3d printed eventually but for now it’s just coming back to my house to get a good cleaning.

Thanks! I had no idea this actually gets updated? I need to register and add my serial #.

Funny, I had never heard of this either until like 2 weeks ago! There is a new retro game shop where I grew up in VT (it appeared like 20 years too late heh) that has one. The guy wants like $350 or so I think. It looks really cool, I was tempted to go for it but wouldn’t want my top loader to get jealous :).

So how would you rate the video quality? I’m dreading the day I finally get to working on my top loader to attempt jailbar-free AV output. Maybe a hard-wired NES TV is already good to go…

$350 is a steal for one of these. They go for close to a grand or more on ebay and thats in crappy shape. I can always take your top loader and give it some attention while you play with the SHARP lol 😛

i like how you have the fire extinguisher in the picture… just in case… (nice unit) how much did you pay?

Lol it’s in my dad’s garage at the moment so that’s why there’s the extinguisher. I didn’t have to pay for it. This was family owned since brand new back in 89. My dad bought it at Kmart for like $800 I think it was.

nice…

Saw your collection pics at nintendoage 🙂 thumbs up

Thanks! It’s easy to get overshadowed by the larger collections but I’m still proud of my lil one (the one posted a couple above mine is jaw dropping).

Hmm…maybe it was more than that?? I remember 349 but maybe it was more like 849 and I didn’t read properly :p. It looked to be in ok shape, but I think some flap on the front panel was missing. Maybe I’ll have to investigate the next time I’m up there. Good thing I didn’t mention the name of the store 😉

It could have been $349. I see a lot of people get lucky with these things lol.

A customer of mine has one too, they’re no easy to come by at all. You got the custom controllers that come with it?

Unfortunately no. I still have the controller somewhere though.

Ok, I got the beast home and into, “the shrine” as my hubby and friends call it. It works with the PowerPak flash cart but it’s still a bit glitchy. My husband actually asked me if we could restore it completely and my jaw dropped to the floor lol. Usually he think’s I’m crazy for collecting video games & consoles so this took me pleasantly by surprise. I guess that may be a future project as long as I can find someone willing to help me with the 3D printing aspect.

Here are some pictures of it so far.

My Everdrive N8 arrived in the mail today. Here I am enjoying some Duck Hunt after putting together the cart.

Edit: Those are decorative spider webs by the way. I like decorating for the various seasons/holidays.

Here’s some video of me playing Duck Hunt on the Everdrive on the NES TV (thats a mouthful)

I quite like these – though I must admit I do prefer the Famicom version. I have one of those Famicom TV controllers new in the original box at home, plus a couple of Sharp-branded NES controllers for my Famicom Station, they look great.

I’m pretty jealous that you have the controllers lol Mine were lost many, many years ago. My uncle was not kind to this thing while we grew up. You have the Famicom TV controllers or just a Famicom system controllers (though I think those were hard-wired except on the AV Famicom)? Either way, nice! I don’t own any of the Japanese Nintendo home consoles.
