I’ve done one Virtual Boy game review so far, planning to do all of them. First things first, Mario’s Tennis.

Now… My experience with things like this is that when I show people who don’t know much about the stuff in question, they’re intrigued and appreciative but when I show it to the experts, they find all kinds of faults with it. But nonetheless, I’m going to give it a try. So if you hate my first few reviews, and subsequently me, I’ll go away πŸ˜›

This is a FANTASTIC review! The best one I’ve seen of a Virtual Boy game. You speak clearly and the montage of various videos and pictures is very good. Keep it up!

Some errors though (all very minor ones): you fail to mention there are three more difficulty settings after you win a tournament on Hard, the American box is different than the Japanese one but you only show the latter, and you regularly refer to it as “Mario Tennis” rather than “Mario’s Tennis”.

Thank you!

The american box I neglected because Mario’s Tennis was never sold separately, I know the box exist though…

The Mario/Mario’s is an error I missed. The extra difficulty settings I remember now reading about here but forgot in the review itself. I need to research more on PVB before writing the script..

Anyway thanks and next up is Space Squash. πŸ™‚

I really liked the review as well, very nicely captured the game in a video on hardware, very impressive! Love to see space Squash reviewed, I particularly like that game! Keep up the good work!

Yes, even I loved the review but I was wondering how can you see on the site when you upload another video

I see no search finctions or any link to your account page

Next review: Space Squash

Another great review, thanks for that! πŸ™‚

Thanks a lot! I thought myself that this one turned out a little less good than the last one… I’ll try to do better next time!

Good stuff. The end of the Space Squash review gave me a good laugh. πŸ™‚
“Well done, Coconuts Japan Entertainment”

Not yet but it’s definately coming. I’m looking forward to reviewing that game, and when I do, I’ll also take a look at Chalvo 55 and a game on Philips CD-i thats similar to Bound High.

Great reviews, best i’ve seen for VB, or most other consoles in fact, top work keep it up, I’m looking forward to more.
Perfect start with Tennis, gotta be everyones (well almost) first VB experience.
Totally agree, Red Alarm is best game on VB and I too love wireframe graphics, never had an issue with them but then i have worked with wireframe and CAD for 15+ years now which helps.

I have 2 reviews ready to start on but I can’t start yet because I’ve just moved and don’t have a desk at the new place yet… and I REFUSE to edit with the touch pad!

I’ll go ahead and reveal the games tho:

Review 1(Next): Insmouse no Yakata
Review 2: Virtual Bowling vs Nester’s Funky Bowling (review/comparison)

ETA: some time next week hopefully

You, sir, have just recommended the next Virtual Boy game I should get. πŸ˜€

Ok, review will be here on……… sunday. Possibly, possibly tomorrow. But sunday is the deadline

Insmouse no Yakata!

About to watch the review!!! Just ordered “The Shadow Over Innsmouth”. I truly hope I appreciate the game more after reading the beloved novel in which the game was based.

But hey, if you’re a big fan of the game maybe you’ll fork over $27,500US for a 1st edition copy signed by the author.

Virtual Bowling vs Nester’s Funky Bowling is next, coming this sunday.

After that I have to go record more footage in order to do more reviews.

I really want to do Bound High next… any objections?
