Just giving a shout out here, I’m a fan of the VB and classic video games too.

I don’t have much of a collection for the VB at this time, just a very nice condition, w/box virtual boy, the AC adapter and 5 games, with 4 complete in box. I’m in the process of purchasing another complete virtual boy from a friend.

For the most part, I haven’t played many of the games, just the few I own. My favorite of which is Wario.

My next goal for the collection is to get my hands on the Flashboy +. I sent an e-mail out to Richard Hutchinson, but he is out of stock at the moment.

Most of my free time is spent repairing and restoring classic video arcades, I collect golden era stuff (1979-1983). Here’s a link to my blog if anyone is interested in that.

All the best.

Yes, this thing is awesome. I’m on the KLOV forum most of the time, and I remember when Tighe was building this. He had a thread going during the build up. It makes a lot of sense if you have other arcade games. I thought about trying this someday, seems like my VB would see more use that way.

Thanks for the kind words on the blog, you may be the only traffic it’s seen.

Anyway, I love what you folks are doing with the home brew games, wish I had the talent to bring that kind of work to the table.

Welcome and good luck with the collection!;)

You’ve got some really nice stuff! I especially love the Galaga cabinet!

I bought a UMK3 cab a couple of years ago. With the MK1, MK2 and UMK3 PCB’s.
Pretty nice shape, though it needs some cosmetic work. I’ve already replaced all the joysticks and buttons (which are now perfect), but I’ll have to replace the t-molding one day (though it’s not so bad) and the monitor might need a cap kit. At the top there’s a little warble (not really noticeable) and I think I had to turn one of the colors to its maximum to get a decent picture. So cap kit I guess.

Or replace it altogether.

I’ve got a xxxx-in-1 system installed in it at the moment, with about 2000 games.

I’ve only once found a Galaga cab and it was really expensive 🙁
