Hey all. I still remember the first and only time I played the Virtual Boy. It was Red Alarm, and I LOVED it. I had a chance to trade my N64 for the console and 2 games (no stand though) but I very stupidly declined. Now here I am years later paying WAY more for a Virtual Boy than an N64 is worth. I love classic consoles, and would love to add this gem to my small but growing collection.

I just purchased a Japanese retail unit with Vertical Force, Bomberman Panic, Galactic Pinball and T&E Golf (last 3 in boxes). I of course also had to pick up Red Alarm from someone else, and will have to get wario land a little down the road. Really liking the looks of the Flashboy plus cart, so I’ll be purchasing one of those soon as well.

But I’m getting ahead of myself, I have to get the damn thing first =P

Howdy, welcome to a top site and community.
I’d def recommend a Flashboy, almost essential.
Enjoy your system when it arrives, Red Alarm is a top game, my fav of all the retail VB games.

Welcome to the boards! Hope you enjoy your stay and enjoy your Virtual Boy. It really is an amazing console!

Thanks guys! Will definitely have to get a Flashboy, liking the looks of the homebrew and of course, the unreleased games!

I’ve been scouring this site and reading up a lot on this system. I can’t believe one of the unreleased prototypes was just released in the last year! Come on Dragon Hopper, your out there somewhere!!

This really is an intriguing console, glad I hopped on the bandwagon.

Only problem, it’s gonna be a long 7-14 days =P

Hey,

you might to check out the store from Tusk out then:
http://www.uncletusk.com/catalog/17

He sells reproductions of unreleased/homebrew games but there is only a limited number produced. Especially Bound High is worth its money.

Hello and welcome! You won’t be disappointed by anything on this site or VB gaming in general. Happy virtual boying!

I’ll definitely have to get one of the unreleased replicas, or a couple of them. Damn, this is gonna be an addiction, isn’t it? =P

Thanks for the welcome! I’m sure I’ll love it

It’s here!! And the best part is it works MINT, no glitchy display issues! I can’t believe how totally stoked I am on a console from 1995 =P Well I’m off to play, I’ll be seeing you guys around!
