We will do before the 3DS comes out. πŸ™‚

P.S. Just writing a news report about that.

I just hope this will be done right. Good games, and in color >:-D, hopefully a good Mario and Zelda game. That would make it very special to me at least!
We will see what the future holds!
IF this 3DS thing will be a hit, I think the Virtual Boy will get more of a special item status than it has now. It will be the father of the 3DS. Exciting times lie ahead.

Really? I love you Krissie !! ( I hope that my girlfriend does not read it πŸ˜€ )

Lol, why, what could possibly happen if she reads it?

I’m agree with you … but prices will be on the rise and I don’t complete my VB collection , arrrrrg!! πŸ˜€

Finally the long wait is over… 3D WILL BE BACK!!! Incredible…

She will be full of wrath with me because I usually never say to her beautifull words like ” I love you” and probably she will take her scissors and cut my … virtual boy? lol ( you understand me how are women , don’t you? πŸ˜‰ )

I think Antoine’s trying too hard, what with the picture of his sister “girlfriend” and all this off-topic chatter… πŸ˜‰

heh, just kiddin’, Tony!

Sucking up to be my girlfriend’s pet πŸ˜€

I just change mu avatar , I shouldn’t be a hen-pecked boyfriend πŸ˜€

Thats AWESOME I can’t wait for that to come out πŸ˜€ I know that the letter was talking about it being relesed early next year but I hope it will be out buy this holiday season beacause that would really boost the sales and would most likely save the system from suffering the same fate the original VB did. Either way im excited 😎 now im looking foward to my birthday (June 15th) even more since there should be some pictures of the prototype surfaceing.

I’m not sure I’m going to like this. 3D is best when there is some kind of immersion factor. The VB provided this because of the binocular + eye shade approach. Virtual reality gaming usually involves wearing an immersive headset. Even home 3D gaming can be played on a large screen TV. The 3DS may have stereoscopic 3D capabilites, but playing on such a small unit will make it very gimmicky. It reminds me of looking at a holographic/reflective sticker – you get the 3D effect but it’s only a novelty.

I could be wrong though, perhaps Nintendo will provide very cool gaming twists using the 3rd dimension. It just won’t be the same as the Virtual Boy to me. Either way, I’m excited to try it out and see what it has to offer.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with, I hope it’s not something fake-3D with just several layers of LCD or something like that…

But what can we hope for, polarized glasses perhaps?

They already said the 3DS will be glasses-free technology. My guess is they do something with a parallax barrier.

That sounds feasible, so let’s hope we can buy it cheap then…

Hm.

“games can be enjoyed with 3D effects” sound NOT like “games will have real 3D graphics” to me…

Maybe, we will get something like this:

You may be right, but with all the 3-D movies and TVs coming out lately, I’d say it’s very likely to have a real stereo display, like the parallax barrier LCD. Besides, you just proved that the current DSi can do that, so why would they need to make a whole new machine?

It’s almost certainly going to be real stereo 3D using a parallax barrier. There’s also some kind of rumored “3D Control Stick” which sounds a little different than “analog stick.” Check it out:

I hope, you are right.
I hope, Nintendo will give us a real 3D experience again

I really, really, hope it’s not a gimmicky 3D…
