Have any of you guys also heard of the “All hail Virtual boy” Tomodachi Life thing? I was at colossal con and i saw a poster that had the Virtual Boy on it and it said “All Hail” so i looked it up and found that. Nintendo also posted Virtual Boy pictures to their facebook page like a picture of the VB and a picture of Reggie in front of one! Does this mean anything?!

I don’t think so…all I know is that it really bothers me that the stand is backwards 😛

I used to have my stand backwards until I saw on a few pictures. 🙂

all i see here is that Reggie doesn’t know anything about Nintendo’s past. He really has no clue that Nintendo existed before the Wii/3DS/Wii U. He is such a modern representative of Nintendo products. I recall an interview where he said that he was unfamiliar with the Virtual Boy and could not comment on it coming to the Virtual Console (3DS). Reggie represents the mainstream casual Nintendo gamer and not those who would ever be interested in the Virtual Boy library of games.

I wonder if he did by now as I noticed a couple VirtualBoy references made by him recently. For example in his Animal Crossing video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeEbtz55XYI

I think he got some comments on that so he decided to try the system after hearing about it. also: Nintendo completely erased the VB from the company after Yamauchi told them to. so I think reggy never knew the VB existed.

On the sales side: Reggy wants all nintendo fans to remain loyal to nintendo so this publicity helps them to. Not shure if nintendo is planning the VB games to be release on de 3DS virtual console but doesn’t seem unlikely as people are unfamiliar with the system and willing to buy something historical from nintendo. Especially when the Mario and Wario games are released.
