I wonder where in the world he ever got the alleged title “Insane Mouse Mansion.”

Maybe someone told him it as a joke, knowing he would then repeat it multiple times in the video. Surprisingly, he almost got the title right when reading the Japanese title screen, yet he didn’t seem to make the connection to the fact that his initial title given is bogus.

I think it came from a magazine originally… not sure but I think I remember seeing it.

Looking at this demonstration burns my eyes in a nostalgic way only Nintendo’s black-and-red console ever could. One can only imagine what trauma this would cause with a Rift strapped on

man, i really hate comments like this. some writers should keep their unfounded opinions to themselves.

When the vboy stopped being supported in the US. A great deal of games (the rare ones) had rumors about them. Insmouse was one of them. Some of the rumors said it was an rpg…some said it was a first person adventure..but all of them got the name wrong 😛 This could be a very old name coming back again.

I like that VirtualBoy games might be played by a wider audience due to the hype around the Oculus Rift. There are certainly some good games in the library and only few had the chance to enjoy them in 3D.

I hesitated to fund the Rift because I thought I rather wait for the consumer version then paying 300$ for the dev prototype. Still, it looks like a cool experience and I really would like to get my hands one of those dev kits…

Yeah, the rom was named that and I didn’t make the connection to Lovecraft. >.< I just passed along the wrong translation. Lesson learned - do the research, even for the quick and fun videos. Apologies to all! I really do hate some of the "bash on the virtual boy" tone of some of these articles, the experience is freaking fantastic and VB had some great games. --Bruce

Hey, you have been featured on kotaku multiple times. Mirros Edge looks pretty cool on the Rift. The above video got featured as well (http://kotaku.com/as-soon-as-the-oculus-rift-came-out-you-knew-it-was-go-483863570). They simply copied the title from your video so they got it wrong as well. People in the comments get crazy because of that. 🙂

If you want to play some other VB games that then get featured on Kotaku here are some I would like to see:

– GameHero
– Fishbone
– Faceball: Remastered

*cough*
