This is the official announcement for the release of Bound High complete with box and manual like it always should have been.

Together with Mindstorm and Bigmak we have been able to assemble an all star team to get this together.

Couple of notes.

There will be an original 50.
The plan is to make 100 of these total. If there’s enough demand we will continue to make them. But once 100 sell we’ll need a bunch more to do another batch!

If you have already paid and/or agreed to pay for the box and manual, you can still receive the box and manual. Or you can use the money you paid to put towards a Complete in box version.

What you get.
Box, manual, cartridge with label, inlay, and i believe inserts (bigmak?)

These will ship out in roughly 2-3 weeks

The price of the game, shipping included will be

US price $71 USD
International price $75 USD

We’ll be staring on our second release, Space Pinball. We look forward to doing lots of these. And other releases. So, get your butts in gear game designers!

The first 20-30 carts will be in my hand soon. So, the first 20-30 people to pay will get there’s in the order received.

I already have Bound High! and am only interested in the box, manual, inlay, and inserts, is that possible? What would you ask for that?

How do you plan on shipping? What packaging materials are you going to use?

great to see this being done. i already have a game and box, but would like to get a manual to complete my set. what does the manual consist of? how many pages is it and could you make the file available for those able to print it themselves?

the box art has obviousy been made public, it would befit the spirit of the vb community to release the manual in the same way as whoever made the box art.

You’re more than welcome to buy the box and manual. If you’d like to preorder that would be preferred. They will be shipped flat in a cardboard mailer. Very secure. As far as the inlays and inserts that will currently only be available if you buy the Complete game.

You’re more than welcome to purchase the manual only for 12 dollars plus shipping from my website in a few weeks. The manual is 12 pages. It is an updated version of the one you can get from here with lots of fixes to it. The front and back cover are completely redone to fit with the VB style more.

The box itself is completely redone minus the front graphic. The front graphic will match the label you currently have, but the background of everything is as close as humanly possibly to the actual VB style as compared to the other one available for download here. You can see the box above.

Wow, shenmueso. I see nothing but negativity coming from your last post. Seriously, if you want a new box and manual, order one from him. If you don’t, then don’t. It’s that simple. There’s no need to make comments like that here.

If you can’t see the differences between UncleTusker’s design and the original box design, then your rose-tinted open source goggles must be very fogged up indeed.

i did say the effort is appreciated and i recognised not everyone has the capacity to make their own packages. but for those who could, is it so very wrong to suggest an update to an existing work be made available for download, as has been the proud tradition of such communities?

You are free to make your own update to the existing work and make it freely available for download. If you do, I will download it and compare it to my professionally made box that I’ll be getting at a great price.
