First off. Here is the final box design. I wanted to get everyone that wanted one’s approval before going through with these.

The Box and Manual combo will be $25
Box only $15
Manual Only $12

I’d suggest paying up front to make sure you get one. I don’t know how many I will be making. Roughly 50 combo’s I’d say, and then that’s likely it. Pm me for my paypal info or you can directly email me at vince@uncletusk.com. I look forward to this being the first of many VB repros boxes. I’d say these will be available in about 2-3 weeks for shipping.

Reserved Copies
BigMak – 2 combo’s
Gwyndion – 1 combo

i think people can beter pack a inlay from a chep VB game to put in the bound high box
thats allot easyer and probelly chaeper then buying a new inlay

Well, I would prefer buying the box with an inlay instead of buying an additional boxed game just for the inlay. It’s not like all of us have piles of old VB boxes lying arround.

Hey Uncle Tusker,

I noticed that the top flap on your Bound High box, which you posted earlier on the forum, extends from the back of the box. I don’t have an official Virtual Boy box with me as I write this at my workplace, but I am almost 100% sure that official Virtual Boy boxes have the top flap extending from the front of the box. Was this change unintentional? If so, there should still be sufficient time before the printing to make the top flap extend from the front of the box.

I am very confident that you could find a complete copy of Virtual League Baseball on Ebay for probably a total of $10.00 or less, including shipping to your country. This would not only come with an official white cardboard cartridge holder but it would also have the official precautions booklet and clear plastic wrap for the cart to make your Bound High cart, box, and manual combo “complete.” You could then sell your extra Virtual League Baseball cart for a couple dollars on Ebay. This is definitely the route I’m taking, and I’m sure it would be much cheaper than getting a new, custom-made inlay.

I just wanna say, I am confident you could too. That is all.

For me it’s not such much about the money but about the convenience. I don’t want to buy a game just to resell it without the inlay. I would rather throw the Box away and donate the card to Richard then deal with the ebay shit. So, I would always prefer to get everything from one store even if I pay more.

Also, UncleTusker is already selling SNES inlays for 2$ on his site. I can’t imagine why a VB inlay should be more complicated to produce. I guess he will just do it if there are enough people wanting one.

I would think he would have to make the ‘die’ to cut out the insert. Although it wouldn’t be hard..the first one will take some time. After that, it would prob be fairly easy. Also, with just a run of 50 boxes or so…you would think the profit margin on this is very small..if it’s there at all. This bound high combo pack might just be an experiment to see if it’s worth it for him to make boxes for the virtual boy at all.

Yeah, I get that. It all depends on how big the request for inlays is. That’s why I’m saying that I want one. Also, he was talking about making Boxes for the Homebrews. I think it would be good for the com community to have complete HQ Boxes available. Could even motivate Homebrewers to polish their games to a more product like quality.

Thanks for your concern on this! I double checked the Galactic Pinball box I have and it opens from the front like I have shown. Looking on ebay I can’t find one that opens the other way.

My bad. I guess the other Bound High box design had me confused.

I do like the thought of a inlay but I’m not that fussed, I’m just looking forward to getting the box.

I was talking to Eric (bigmac). He says Sean managed to dupe his buyer because folks outside of this forum had no idea BH carts were being made on a continual basis.

His suggestion, is to make them in larger batches, and let all the retro sites know about it.

I’m open to this idea because they’ll be 3 of us involved this time –

Me – making the boards
UncleTusker – the boxes
Eric – assembling the carts / distribution

I really do think it would be a great shame if folk were denied a chance to play one of the best VB games.

I’m highly confident that many people will be very happy about this. Don’t forget about Space Pinball, too. 😉

This is great.

This is awesome thanks for the second chance Minestorm=D. I was wondering how much would a complete set cost game, box, manual? >B

I don’t want to derail this thread 🙂 it’s about the purchase of the bond high boxes and manuals. I’ll post later on today about reproduction carts in another thread..and we can all talk about them there :).

OK, lets say I already ordered the Box combo here but would prefer to get the complete package including the card. Should I cancel the order now and order again in the new thread?

If you’ve already paid for a box and manual and want a cart, we will just figure out the difference. It won’t be a problem. We’re figuring it all out now. But if you paid for the manual/box you can tack on a cart no problem and get it CIB.
