Well I just bought a unit and it’s having the glue contact problem, I don’t even want to mess with the baking procedure as I know it’s just going to fail again.

Can anyone direct me to some people who do soldering still, preferably in the United States if possible. I know Runnerpack was doing it previously but is no longer, I am looking for work quality similar to his, something nice and permanent.

Thanks everyone, glad to be here!

The baking method and using strong tape should REALLY work for you.

Nope, not really, it might work for a while, but eventually it will glitch again with this way of trying to repair it. The oven/baking method always is a temporary solution.

I do recommend wrapping strong clear tape around the soldered contacts though. Both of my Virtual Boys are like that and have functioned perfectly ever since.
