Lately, my cartridges can’t go into the Virtual Boy all the way, and I don’t get the problem. It’s seriously starting to annoy me. I’ve tried every cartridge I own. None of them are going in all the way.

Check to make sure you haven’t accidentally left a dust cap in the slot.

I did. Nothing. The system makes a noise when I flip it over.

Stop pushing stuff into the slot. You probably accidentally bent one of the contacts and now it’s under the carriage that is supposed to keep foreign materials out.

Disassemble the bottom of your Virtual Boy and look at the GEC receptacle to see what’s going on and whether or not you can fix it.

cYa,

I hope I wasn’t too harsh with it. I just gently took VBWL out the last time. Next cartridge I put in was weird.

Is disassembling a Virtual Boy risky?

Oh wow, wtf, there was a plastic dust cover in there. How did that even get in there?

Didn’t I say to check for that earlier?

Yeah, and I did. The first time, I didn’t even know it was the case. It was stuck in the VB so tightly that I thought it was part of the system! I wonder how it even got caught in there. Maybe I put a cartridge into the VB with its case on without noticing. I thank you for the tip, though.
