Original Post

I am new to the site so was not 100% sure if this was the spot to post something like this. But I am looking for a power adapter for my VB and I heard through the grape vine that you can use a SNES AC but also heard that you need a special adapter to the snes ac. Can anyone help me out with this? And if anyone has the adapter(s) and are willing to sell, please let me know. Also, I need a stand and the eye gaurd for my vb. I found a website that describes step by step how to rig your own stand with a camera tri-pod or a desk lamp(Ill post it on the bottome). Its pretty sweet but then again I want my vb to be as original as possible. I have the connecter piece that connects the vb to the stand but half of the bottom part is broken. I saw on here that someone is selling the fixer for that part but I was unable to contact him because of either problems with the site or my internet/computer. If anyone has any input on this, please let me know. Thanks!

I am the one who has the Stand fix kits, but it is only a replacement for the medallion part that holds the legs in place. It is the bit that usually breaks, but it sounds like maybe you don’t have all the parts, can you post a photo of what you have got and I’ll be able to let you know if my fix kit will sort you out.

(there is a mini review on the front page of this site that Chris has done and also an ad in the marketplace with photos)

Regarding adapters I would hand you over over to Bigmak or Benjamin Stevens on the tech desk……
I don’t know a great deal on those so I’ll leave that to someone else, but if I can help you with the stand issues I will give it a go.

This (but than the American version) http://www.planetvb.com/modules/hardware/?type=accessories&sec=main&id=2 is what you need to use a SNES adapter with the VB and you can normally find quite a few on eBay.

As Hedgetrimmer already said, please clarify on what you have got with your VB and as I read your post, it seems as if the clamping part on your VB unit itself is broken. You cannot really replace that part unless you get a spare VB unit and use its outer shell.
Please post a few pics of the parts you are talking about.

Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate it. For now, I am going to use the battery pack for my VB and eventually buy the power adaptor. Also, I am going to purchase an authentic VB stand and not try and rig something up myself. For some reason I could not post any pictures of my own VB, my comp. is a peice of crap. But I posted a pic of someone elses that I found on eBay that is exactly what I have. My VB is just the head and the controller, no eye guard or stand. So I have to sit in an awkward position to play it and continually have to make sure it doesnt fall. The only item that I have been having a lot of trouble finding is the eye guard piece. I was wondering if there is anyone on here that is willing to sell one or knows of anyone/anywhere that will sell one to me. I found one on the internet but it looks like the guy made it himself out of foam and is asking too much for it so I dont think I will try for it.

Hope you find the VB items you are looking for, I have a good size batch of medallions so if you find need one when you locate a stand just send a PM.
The eye shade is almost a must have, it really helps immerse you into the game, hopefully someone has a spare they will sell you.

If that is what you have, I am afraid you will not be able to securely get your VB clamped into a stand, even if you have one.
You say the connecter piece that connects the to the stand but half of the bottom part is broken, that would mean that you cannot easily fix that.
So, you will have to buy another VB and I would advise you to go for a more complete one as that will normally be easier and cheaper to get with the stand and visor.
