Hi Doc!
What’s special about the controller? It looks like the regular one… Does it have the round connector plug?

Hey Dan,

no it has the same plug but the plastic of the plug is more bright than the normal one as the normal one is more matt. The main difference is the bigger print on the controller, see below 2 pictures:

i am no expert when it comes to the vb. most of the collectors here are far more educated on its hardware. to my eyes both of the controllers look the same. i am just not seeing a larger font? is there anything else to back up that this is a prototype controller? was there any paper work? what is the story behind how you got it? other than what you mentioned, is everything else identical (including the PCB)?

i am not trying to challenge you in any ways, i am just really curious about this controller. =)

The font size is about the same. The thing is that it it slightly more bold. Look at the holes in the “R” and the “B” for example. Also, the distance between the buttons and their A and B labels are noticeably longer on closer inspection. But yeah, it doesn’t have quite the same impact of coolness as the one with multi-colored buttons 🙂

yes you can say it’s bold not a larger font at all.

i purchased this years ago from my japanese contact he was telling me about this prototype controller and i purchased it. that’s the whole history behind it

i have no idea for which kind of VB it was used but for the japanese one for sure

i have updated the lists and also did some price drops 🙂
hope for interest

I’m surprised Virtual Lab hasn’t sold yet. I still think it’s harder to find then bowling (although I might be the only one).

actually it was sold today, the lists aren’t up to date. I will update them within today

I am also thinking that bigmak it whas more easy to find virtual bowling CIB for me than a CIB copy off virtual lab

it was also A+ condition… i think maybe i sold it below value.. but it’s fine for me i don’t regret anything… 🙁
