A boxed Virtual Boy with 5 games…

Hmmmmmm… those games… is that what I think it is… ?

Yes it is what you think the not for resale edition from warioland

Hahaha somebody snapped that one right up!

that version is the same as the retail, correct? there was nothing different about the ROM?

It’s exactly the same game, only the cartridge sticker is different

My mother is getting swarmed with medical bills, I unfortunately may be listing some items shortly.

Nothing comes before VB for me, except the health of my loved ones (that includes you guys).

My mom came out of surgery this afternoon and gave me a call. The problems weren’t resolved at all, but I trust you can still understand what a relief that was for me.

One day at a time, eh?

Quick note : Virtual Bowling for $2k

In lighter news, I snagged a Travelmaster VB Case for a mere $150.

From the description it is all original and has not had the foam swapped or fixed or anything. I’m all kinds of excited. It looks pristine from the pictures. It should be here next Monday.

That looks just like the copy of Virtual Bowling to which Mawa posted a link in post #680 of this thread. In fact, I dare say that it is the exact same copy. Did anyone see what it sold for? I’m pretty sure that it went for under $1,200.00, but I didn’t actually see the auction’s end. If it is, indeed, the same copy, and the seller is simply trying to make a quick $800.00 profit, I hope that nobody will give him that satisfaction.

Benjamin iff my memorie is good that one sold for 671 euro in a action on ebay.
And i also think this the exact same so this buyer want to make big profit but i dont think somebody will buy this for this price.
There is also one on yahoo.co.jp for 200.000 yen for a long time

Wow… then it seems that he’s hoping for even much more profit than I thought.

In France, BUT

I would pick up this auction but I just got the Japanese VB. The nice thing is…yea..in the pic..that’s a mosaic tap. I emailed to buy the tap separate (need it for my collection), but got no response. OH well..it’s a buy it now. Pretty good deal for what you get.

Out of curiosity exactly how much is 1 of the mosaic taps worth and how rare is it?

It’s pretty rare..I’d pay about 75 for it….but everyone will have there own opinion.

I agree, it’s a fairly rare bird. Even I don’t have a boxed one. There was a big Japanese seller on eBay that was selling a whole bunch of normal taps using a stock photo of a mosaic tap, and I think that skewed people’s view on the rarity. I unfortunately bought one of those auctions and got a normal tap, but another member here bought one too and got a mosaic from him.

Awhile back one was listed on eBay for $75 and I was very tempted to buy it, but I figured that I’d hold off until I could score one for a great price.

For the record, I’m pretty confident that there are slightly different mold marks on the demo tap from the retail. My tap that came with my Japanese demo console has slightly different marks than all my other taps (I have like 5 or 6 lying around). I’d almost bet money that if I bought a boxed Mosaic tap that it would match the marks on the tap that came with my demo console.

I’m the seller, from my personal collection. 🙂
I hope you enjoy it, please do let me know if there are any problems as I stand by my auctions 110%. I printed the shipping label and dropped it off at the shipping center on the 17th, but UPS only picks up packages M-F @ 3PM in my small town so it went out on Monday the 19th. This delay was out of my hands, but I apologize anyway. Thanks again.

A collector who needs one to expand his collection, who has the financial means, and who cannot find one anywhere else on the entire planet would probably place a maximum bid of a couple hundred dollars for one. A non-collector would probably bid the standard price of a normal tap, or even less. The Virtual Boy doesn’t seem to have as many avid collectors as many of the other systems do, I find.

Oh, haha… Woot!

So, yeah, I was the guy who got the mosaic tap from the strange Japanese auction. Once I got the mosaic tap, and then after I did a little Snoopy dance, I went back and bought another. The second one was a regular tap, but *that’s okay* because I needed a regular one, still.

I will compare the two taps when I get home, as well as take photos for all the world to see.

I can’t wait for the Travelmaster case. I think I just peed a little.

I also got a mosaic tap from the same seller.
When it arrived it was a regular and I was a little upset so I messaged him and eventually he did send another that WAS a demo tap. I even got to keep both.
I later picked up a boxed demo VB and a JP demo Mario Clash, so I got a good set in the end.

I also attempted to buy a mosaic tap from that seller because of his picture of the mosaic tap that he was using to advertise and his statement in the description that stated that the buyer would receive the exact item in the picture, and I probably bought one of his last taps. It was a regular tap. The fact that I now know that others wrote to him about receiving regular taps and explained to him that the tap in the picture was different allows me to know with certainty that he was deliberately trying to deceive people and wasn’t just ignorant.

I guess I need to learn to take stronger stands on such things. I simply kept the regular tap and now have two regular taps, one of which I really don’t need. I didn’t even try to contact him or leave any negative feedback because I simply thought the best of him and assumed he was ignorant on the matter. I now know otherwise.
